Stand for the Protection on Children and Youth is a program of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Parish is committed to providing a safe environment for children entrusted to our care. In order to volunteer for the parish, please complete the necessary forms as noted below and mail to: Parish Stand Coordinator 8499 Virginia Avenue Pasadena, Maryland 21122

Non-Substantial Contact Volunteers:
Some volunteer positions in our parish have no contact or nonsubstantial contact with minors. For those positions, you may only be required to complete the following:
- All Volunteers must complete and sign an Archdiocese of Baltimore Application for Volunteer Service.
- Review A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children & Youth.
- Review Code of Conduct for Church Personnel in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Substantial Contact Volunteers:
All volunteers, ages 14 and over, for positions with substantial contact with minors must complete the forms and steps noted below to receive a STAND Card which may allow you to also volunteer for temporary positions elsewhere in the archdiocese. Particular Covered Entities may have additional requirements for volunteers to complete before they are able to begin serving.
If you have volunteered in another Parish or school, you will need to complete an Application for Volunteer Service and 3 Reference Letters in order to volunteer at Saint Jane Frances Parish.
If you currently have a STAND Card from another entity, it is only for one-time use. If you would like to volunteer at Saint Jane Frances, you will still need to complete the forms described below.
Adult Volunteers (adults 18 years and older)
- All Volunteers must complete and sign an Archdiocese of Baltimore Application for Volunteer Service.
- Review A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children & Youth.
- Review Code of Conduct for Church Personnel in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Complete a Criminal Background Consent Form
- Complete a Driving Record Consent Form (optional)
- Provide 3 references (Reference Form)
- STAND Online Training Course (see instructions at right)
Youth Volunteers (ages 14 to 18 years)
- All Youth Volunteers must complete and have your Parent sign the Archdiocese of Baltimore Application for Volunteer Service.
- Review A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children & Youth.
- Review Code of Conduct for Church Personnel in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Provide 3 references (Reference Form)
- Attend a Video Training Session

Certification Renewal Information
If your STAND card is expiring in the upcoming year, you will receive a renewal information letter in the mail. The renewal process is very easy. Complete the Criminal Background Consent form (this is the only form necessary for renewal) and return it to the Screening Coordinator for processing. Please allow for processing time. |
