The parish mission is an opportunity to set aside specific time to pray, meditate and reflect, and—most importantly—to do this as a parish community. It is a time for grace, repentance, and renewal of our relationship with God and each other. A parish Mission should be a parish awakening! A time for the whole parish to come together to reflect upon God’s word, to renew our faith, and to pray with open hearts and hands. Our Parish Mission speaker this year will be Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR of The Wild Goose is Loose. Fr. Dave is a nationally known author, speaker, and pilgrimage leader. He spends much of his time traveling around the world helping others come to know God’s love for them. He will arrive April 6 and preach at all weekend masses at St. Jane Frances. Each Parish Mission evening will include Fr. Dave’s presentation followed by:
- Monday, April 8: Confession
- Tuesday, April 9: Adoration
- Wednesday, April 10: Mass
Fr. Dave will also be selling (and signing) books. No charge, free will offerings accepted
For many of us, leaving our homes each evening to come to church will take a bit of planning and perhaps some sacrifice. But isn’t that true for almost anything that has value?
April 8, 9, and 10 from 7:00pm–8:00pm
