May 4, 2025 – Msgr. Raymond P. Kelly Council 10966 is pleased to announce that it will award two undergraduate college scholarships, in the amount $1000 each, for the school year 2025–2026. Scholarships may be applied to tuition, room, board, books and related college expenses. Checks will be written in the name of the student.
The recipients shall have a demonstrated financial need as determined by St. Jane Frances De Chantal Church, shall be a member of and attending St. Jane Frances De Chantal Church, shall carry a minimum of a 2.5 Unweighted Grade Point Average, and shall be a practical catholic who has received as a minimum baptism, reconciliation, and first Eucharist. Each candidate is required to provide a one-page essay using the title “What does being a Catholic mean to me?” It is requested that this essay be provided in a typed or word process form. Candidates are requested to describe and identify (on one page) the number of hours of service over the past 12 months for each of following 3 areas: Parish Service, School Activities, and Community Service.
Applications are due by 5:00 pm May 4, 2025. Selection shall be led by the Grand Knight of Msgr. Raymond P. Kelly Council 10966 in association with scholarship directors and Fr. John Bilenki. One boy and one girl shall be selected from the candidates provided. Awards will be announced in late May or early June.
