May 13–14, 2022 – Please join us for 24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration in the Church from 9:00am Friday, May 13 thru 8:15am Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Everyone is welcome to Adoration at any time, but we need to make sure that we have people there at all hours (the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left by itself, this person would sit in the Church for 1 hour in prayer). We will need volunteers to sit with the Blessed Sacrament at every hour and 1/2 hour throughout the night. If you can volunteer for a shift, please call Lynn Lemons at 443-618-4964 or call the Parish Office at 410-255-4646.
Let us take up Jesus’ challenge given in the Garden of Gethsemane when he asked his disciples, “Could you not stay awake with me for an hour?”
What is Adoration?
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament flows from the sacrifice of the Mass. Jesus will be fully present in the Eucharist and exposed on the Altar for 24 hours for us to adore. This means that we have an opportunity to spend some time with Jesus in personal prayer.
What might this look like?
- Pray a Rosary or Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Meditate on the Stations of the Cross
- Read the Bible
- Have a silent conversation with Jesus
- Just sit in silence with Jesus
If you cannot make your scheduled time, please text Lynn at 443-618-4964 or Melissa at 410-982-1395. Thank you.
