November 5–6, 2021 – Please join us for 24-Hour Adoration in the Church from 9:00am Friday, November 5th thru 8:30am Saturday, November 6th.
During this past year we have had 3 24/25-hour Eucharistic Adorations totaling 75 hours.
Let us take up Jesus’ challenge given in the Garden of Gethsemane when he asked his disciples, “Could you not stay awake with me for an hour?”
What is Adoration?
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament flows from the sacrifice of the Mass. Jesus will be fully present in the Eucharist and exposed on the Altar for 24 hours. This means that we have an opportunity to spend some time with Jesus in personal prayer.
What might this look like?
- Pray a Rosary or Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Meditate on the Stations of the Cross
- Read the Bible
- Have a silent conversation with Jesus
- Just sit in silence with Jesus
If you would like to sign up to be an adorer (the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left by itself, this person would sit in the Church for 1 hour in prayer), please contact Lynn Lemons at 443-618-4964 or call the Parish Office at 410-255-4646.
Everyone is welcome to Adoration at any time, but we need to make sure that we have people there at all hours. If you cannot make your scheduled time, please text Lynn at 443-618-4964 or Melissa at 410-982-1395. Thank you!
